Clownfish can't keep her depth

Just now, when my lights turned off and the lunars turned on I noticed my gold stripe clownfish is having trouble keeping away from the surface. She constantly has to keep swimming down. I turned down my pump a bit but shes still having trouble and none of the other fish are having any issues. She was fine when I came home from work. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

well, I have seen this many times in my FW bettas. it sound a lot like SBD or swim bladder disease. I dont know if it is, but for my bettas I would starve for 1 day to a week and they were fine. did you happen to feed an overly large amount recently? I dont know if it is even possible for clowns to get SBD. hope this helps.

maybe a long shot, but hold off the pellets for a few days. in the wilkerson clownfish book, she mentions clowns being unable to "sink" d/t overeating of floating pelltets. good luck with it.

This morning everything was AOK. I have no idea what happened but for a couple days she could have used a ballast full of rocks to keep her down. Now everything is fine and she is chasing my wrasse around the tank like normal.
