Clownfish clicking???

I have a pair of allardi's clownfish which includes a nice 4" female. whenever she gets into a little dominance game with the male she clicks(maybe you would call it a grunt or a cluck). it is deffinately audible through the glass. She even did it when my hand was close to her nem. Have any of you heard ur clowns do this? i searched for it and found nothing.

Yeah my Female Chrysopterus does this when I walk up to the tank. She rubs all over her anemones and then charges at me like she is trying to make me go away. Sounds like clicking noises to me too. Clown fish aren't the only ones that do this though. I hear clicking all the time while I'm scuba diving.

Yes, clownfish are know to click. Search clownfish sounds to find articles on the subject.

My grouper did this when he was pretending to attack me through the glass.
