Clownfish colours

I saw, that adult clownfish (for example A.occellaris or especially A.clarki) looks different than when they are younger. Some of them became darker and in my opinion looks worse. How to choose subspecies of fish which ,,always be bright,,? Is it any way to find out it?

Color even depends on conditions, lighting, food and other random forces. To get the color you want as an adult you'll need to buy them as adults.

Hello everyone :)

jeff@zina.com, you do not understand me, I would like have an Clownfish, which is always bright, it means that is constantly orange or yellow. We have many beautiful species but they usually became another colour when they are older. A.clarki when is young is yellow and when is old gets black stripes. I am looking for Clownfish species which always be yellow ,like for example young A.bicinitus. Maybe it is a little stupid question On the other hand, is it diffucult in keeping? I will have 50 gallons aquarium.

The best choice for a clownfish that will remain bright throughout it's life is a standard A. Ocellaris. They tend to keep their bright orange coloration for life. The presence of an anemone can bring about darker coloration however as the anemone's stings can create black dots on the fish.
