Clownfish eating seaweed

Is it normal that my clowns have started eating seaweed? My female recently accepted my male so is this a nutrition boost for eggs?

They'll eat almost anything. My pair eats seaweed that the tang rips off the clip. Just needs to be small enough for them to swallow.

My clown, after losing his mate, decided to become best friends with my Tang. I think the clown now thinks he is a tang because he mimics the tang by picking at the glass and eating Nori from the clip. It's actually very cute to watch.

Clowns are damselfishes, and algae is an important component of their diet.
