There is a bunch of non so great pictures, but a few turned out alright. Full album can be found here. http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t171/NirvanaFan01234/breeding/10-9-28 clownfish eggs/

These were the two best in my opinion

I'm guessing they are going to hatch tomorrow (day 8), but the tank they're in is at 82 degrees, so they could go tonight. I should know tonight a bit before lights out.

Yeah, the majority of them look like they'll hatch tomorrow. It's still early in the day though. They appear to have more silvery eyes in this picture than they do in person.

On a side note, I've been taking day by day pictures of the eggs developing. It should be interesting to see them day by day. I'll make sure to get them up here once I get them all together. This way people who haven't seen it before can predict their hatch days easier.

Yup. They hatched Saturday evening. I put the PVC structure in the fry's half filled 10 gallon tank and turned off the room lights. All but 15 or so hatched. Those were eaten by the parents the next morning when I returned it to the broodstock tank. I wasn't keeping good track of my Rotifera and they seemed to have crashed. I don't think any of this egg batch will survive. There were some left this morning though. They didn't have fat silver bellies like they should. I added a little ground pellet food and some baby brine shrimp, but I really don't hink any will make it. I plan on ordering a new phyto strain and may get some new Rotifers while I am at it. The parents should be laying eggs soon, so I should have another batch to play with soon.

There are still rotifers in the water I gave you. There may not be as many as I thought though. I had been getting lazy and just using roti-rich to feed them lately (after I gave them to you). I think that may have something to do with it.

I just ordered 500,000 to 1,000,000 live rotifers that should get to my house Friday. You're welcome to stop by and grab some more. Before you do, take a look into your culture by sieving some out and looking through a microscope or loupe. You can see the rotifers moving around. If you don't see many (less than 10 per filtered cup) let me know. You can have a few thousand of mine.

Hopefully my clowns laid eggs again today while I was at work. Then I would really be ready for them.

I also ordered a live culture of Isochrysis that should get here Friday with my rotifers. Once I get a few liters of it going, I'd like to give you some Kat. That way if either of our cultures crash or get contaminated, we can get another pure culture.

that sounds great. thank you so much. just saw little silver tips today...betcha by Sunday should be ready to go.

i love helping each other out.
