Clownfish enthusiasts in FL

alright. made it. getting my stock tank ready to house mfish and anemones while i decide and locate an aquarium. i am thinking a Marineland 150g DD will suit my needs. i just wish the stand wasnt so short. going to start making the rounds to the stores shortly. anyone typically getting in rare fish and corals in the area?

Hey Ron. Welcome to FL. I am in Palm Beach and maybe a bit of a drive but another great store is in Lake Worth called Tanks A lot - they have 2 stores and the west store (Lantana and Jog Rd) is definitely the better of the 2. They get some cool stuff

Sorry to see you leave the area but glad you made it to Florida safely. Did all your livestock make the move in decent shape?

minh, so far so good. i shipped my crispa with very little water, and even the tricinctus juveniles hiding inside it survived 24 hours this way.

gsiegel, thank you for the info. ill hit the road this week and check them out.

dave, i lost a few coral pieces, but so far everything seems to be doing very well. theyre at a fish shop right now and would prefer them in my care, but all my equipment is still on a truck somewhere in georgia.

Wow… You are a brave man. I hope I never have to move my tanks. I hope everything is going well.

I don't think brave or not have anything to do with it. From a person who did it before, There was no other choice. I traded all my coral to local reefers with the intention of them send a frag of the coral to me later. The animals that dear to me and cannot be frag, there is just no choice but take them along.

well it certainly took some planning, access to lots of plastic bags and oxygen, some quick connections on the other end and plenty of crossed fingers checking a plastic tote filled with fish as luggage on my flight. but once they were in the air, they did alright.

the hard part is not having an aquarium all ready to go once i arrived. im still shopping for the perfect one. considering the marineland 150g DD. anyone else have this tank? have suggestions for a similarly sized set up perhaps from another manufacturer?
