Clownfish ID

The Bicinctus from ORA are pretty cheap. No one is really buying them so the sell them cheap. Also, some of them that I have seen have some deformities around the mouth and head area. I'm guessing around $15.
 
I agree. That pic is dead on for what I saw in the video. My bicinctus reference photos looked nothing like that. Nice fish!
 
It is a pretty lil thing. My reference pics looked nothing like it either wetsleeves. I reckon one of these days I will have the money to go pick it up. Guess it's time to go donate plasma, LOL.
 
I would laugh, but I've done that. I even did drug absorption studdies on hypertension meds during my college years. Having your blood drawn 52 times in a weekend is not much fun.... It sucked being poor.
 
Yeah unfortunately, I know the feeling of being broke. The military overpaid us for months and is now taking it all back. Not very fun if you ask me :( Bills to pay and no way to pay them, hungry mouths to feed with no food.... yeah.

I am not on a computer where I can see the video, but from the still pic and your comment that its eyes look too big for its head, I would say that the fish in the second video could very well be allardi.
 
UGH why oh why must I travel to find fish? There are too many known varients for the clownfish complexes for me to even begin TRYING to ID anything, LOL. If they could just figure out where the thing came from, that would definitely aid in an ID. I am trying fellas. I can not make a trip out to the store again because I am half asleep from waking up at 5 am and the husband is crashed dead asleep as well.

Can someone recommend a better field guide of sorts for clownfish identification? Thank you in advance :) I need something to keep in the car since I search for fish darn near daily.

well not exactly, look again. that would about the same as showing someone not familar with leuc's a pic of a leuc. exhibiting more chrysopterus traits however i now think largeangels tr bicinctus pics look more like her clownfish.

Um.... OK. What's a sebae/polymnus hybrid supposed to look like? I thought mine were a pretty good example???

however i now think largeangels tr bicinctus pics look more like her clownfish.

Well I am glad to see that we all seem to agree on a tentative ID. Of course if I could get better pics, which is impossible because of the boisterous tankmates, from different angles we would be in business.

if you open the link i provided to proaquatix.com ( http://www.proaquatix.com/speciesde...OUPID=200&ID=11 ), and look at the picture of the polymnus X sebae hybird you'll understand what i was talking about. Premium Aquatics had a few for sale in august for $29.

btw did you manage to get the latez from clownfishking and or a pair of bob21115's t-r luec's? your leuc's from lv.aq. are beautiful, if you got bob21115's how do they compare?

I knew it was definitely not an allardi or sebea. I was pretty sure that my ID was correct but needed some backing up since there are so many variants of each clown type.
