Clownfish issues...2 dead - 1 going...

My first two percula clowns developed a dark spot on the top of the thier heads directly on the top center first white stripe. Both died a couple days after the spot appeared. Neither would eat and near the end they swam very erratically.

I waited a couple weeks and have added two new percs. Everything was great the first three days...until tonight when I noticed that one of them has developed the same spot and appears to not be eating!

Here is a pic of the spot:

Does anyone know what this is and how I can stop it?!

I would remove them to a hospital tank and treat with maracyn II. I have seen this stuff damn near bring fish back from the dead. I dont know what the dark spot is, I have never seen anything like it.

You might also try some Rid-ich which is a combination of melachite green and formalin, which is good for parasites and fungal diseases.

Well I put both clowns in QT last night and began treating with Maracyn Plus. Both are still alive this morning but appear lathargic. On the plus side they had erect fins which is something I have not seen in a few days.

Any tips on how to get them to eat?

when i was treating my clown with maracyn 2 her fin went back up the next day as well. It took another 2 days to get her to eat, but the maractn has an appitite stimulant whitch will help.

she wouldent eat the garlic and still wont.

Just try a couple times a day with theyre favorite food and they should come around. Suck back out the food they dont eat so you dont get an amonia spike

Thanks to everyone for all the advice. I can't tell you how much it is appreciated. I'll keep everyone posted as to how they are doing...
