...And I found him on the floor after trying to locate him everywhere in the tank!

I don't know how long he have been lying on the ground but he was not flipping around but was trying to breathe, so I knew he is still alive, I quickly picked him up and put him into a QT, he started to feel better.

What would caused him to jump out from the tank ? Overheating water or the lack of O2 since the water parameters shows all good.

pH 8.4
Ammonita 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Water Temp 82 (I was already aware of it and trying to find a way to cool it down since unplugging heater and running fan at full force is not working any good so I will have to find a way to cool my house down)

Fish jump out of tanks all the time. It could have been startled by something. What you need to do is cover the top so it wont happen again. Head on out to Lowes or the Homedepot and get some eggcrate to cover the top.

Hubby and i were watching TV a few weeks ago and he noticed something flopping on the floor and low and behold it was our Lawnmower Blenny...hehe... we just scooped him up and put him back in the tank and he hid in the rocks for awhile! but he came out and is doing fine! Funny thing about fish....someimes you have a jumper and some are content in their tanks!

yeah the clownfish is doing fine and I don't know how long he have been on the floor because the tank wasn't within my sight when I was doing something around the house

If I do cover the top, I will be having a boiled fish, so won't that be a bad idea ?

Only if it figures out someway to get on top of the cover which doesn't usually happen.

My clowns have always been content in my 20, but I found my royal gramma dried up on the floor behind my ten when I was tearing it down. I had thought he died and was taken care of by the crabs and snails. I have yet to figure out why the dogs or cat didn't find him before I did.

I'm glad you found him tho. How's he doing?

That's interesting. I also found my RG behind my stand one day - it jumped out of my 50G.

Wonder what it is about Royal Grammas - I hadn't realized they tended to be jumpers.
