Pair of Cinnamon and Clarkii clowns in their ready for sleep
I have had this pair of Cinnamon clowns ready to sleep on the right side of the tank since 10/06. They have had their red rose bubble tip for 15 months. It has been about two months since they finally started breeding; laying a new batch of eggs every week to every two weeks.
I have had this pair of Clarkii clowns ready to sleep on the left side of the tank since 12/06. They are in their anemone which I replaced with a second red rose bubble tip three weeks ago.

You mean you do or do not like the black saddle or black Os? Black saddles usually don't run more than about $35 ea. The Black Os won't generally run you more than about $65 ea.
If you want to get into rarely collected fish like A. latezonatus you're looking at several hundred each. The designer fish like the platinum percs run in the same price range. Natural hybrids are usually $200 + $50. Other fish that aren't particularly high demand that are rarely collected like bicinctus, akindynos and tricinctus don't usually go over about $40-$50 each.
Then of course there's McCullochis that run in the thousands. Omans would probably fetch $6000-$10,000 a piece. Rumor has it that some schmuck wants to captive breed them, sterilize the offspring then sell them to stupid Americans and Japanese willing to pay the exorbitant price. If you have that kind of money just come see me. I'll kick you in the nuts and take your wallet. It's about the same thing especially if they come down with brook or amyloodinium.

I just bought a used tank, and it came with 3 clowns. I believe two are common clowns according to my identification guide and I didn't know what the other was until I looked at this site. I now believe he is a Gold Stripe Maroon Clown. I will post pictures of both. Sorry about the water spots. I wiped the tank down but missed a few. Thanks for any input. Rene'

Thanks! I just set this tank up yesterday and it is my first. I am still trying to figure out the best settings to use on my camera for tank shots. My son says I should buy a better camera. Right now I just want to put my money into getting my larger tank set up. Thanks again. Rene'

I have read where "mixed tank" is a misnomer.
It is a fish only with live rock or a reef tank as ocean reef's have fish?
I had to remove four tangs from my 120 reef with 150 lbs of live rock and it was not an easy thing.
If I knew then what I know now I would plan what I was going to put into the tank as more live rock and corals make it very difficult to remove a more aggressive or too big fish later on.
I have one Powder Blue Tang and one Purple Tang as well as one Regal Angel and one Majestic Angel. That is the extent of my large fish although the angels are still only 3 1/2" and the tangs are 4 1/2" and 4" respectively.
Getting to the point. I have a pair of Red/Black "Cinnamon" clowns and a pair of Clarkii clowns which host in all five anemones.
I like my tank as is although the clowns are of the semi-aggressive (the female Cinnamon bit the back of my hand and drew a little blood) species and I could have ordered a large group of perculas which are peacful.
I have two red rose and three green bubble tip anemones which are the anemones most likely to stay near where you "plant" them on the live rock.
The Regal Angel eats soft corals etc. and the Majestic Angel ate all my mushrooms and picks at the live rock etc. like the Regal.

I think I got lucky. 6th Ave Aquarium in San Francisco is a funky shop, you pick and net your own fish. Anyways, they had these guys for $7.99 each and they were the exact ones I've been looking for. But I don't find these guys too common in my other LFS because I've been looking around. Maybe they aren't that rare (high price), but they are "rare" because many LFS don't stock them haha. Liveaquaria don't have them in stock, but it shows $25 each on their site.
I was about to spend $100 for a pair of ORA Black Clowns because I couldn't find these guys. Most of the yellow/black type I have found are Clarkii's, and I find them too fat for my liking.

If I could go back in time I might have started with a large school of black O's, false perculas, or some other peaceful clown species to go with my Bubble Tips instead of a breeding pair of Cinnamons and a pair of Clarkiis which are beasts. The former being the most beastly. Both pairs are semi-aggressive like my two tangs and two angels along with six yellow tailed damsels, three four striped damsels, and one blackmouth damsel as well as a pair of six lined wrassses.
The main question would be could a large school of false perculas hold there own with my semi-aggressive fish.

What is the latest? I see some of the more unusual species have submissions but have not been updated???

And captive bred Latezonatus from Karen Brittain with full barring

I meant more along the lines of updates to the "Clownfish List and Pictures" rebuild as it pertains to currently accepted individual species.
