Clownfish pair question

I have had a pair of false percs for at least 2-3 years and they are always together hosting my blue mushrooms rock... Anyway I was wondering why they are both exactly the same size. Doesn't one usually become a male and the other is the female which should be larger?

Hmmm... 2 to 3 years? I'm very rusty at this, but after that amount of time one could assume they have a proper pair? Mated and or mating is a completely different topic. Sadly, not all pairs will spawn. Was spawning your goal?

Females of all species of clownfish are larger than their male counterparts. Some species show a greater size difference than others (maroon clownfish for example) while other species show subtle size difference between sexes. I would assume that you indeed have a bonded pair of clownfish if they are sharing the same territory without any fighting.

Their definitely paired up; I just found it odd that they're literally identical in size. I've seen plenty of perc pairs that have been together for a while and the male is usually considerably smaller. I just thought I'd ask. Not trying to get them to spawn or anything I was just curious.
