Clownfish pairing

Hi all. Looking for people with clownfish pairing experience here!
Bought 2 osc clownfish last week. There were 3 in the tank at the store. All 3 around the same size (3/4-1"). They were peaceful at first and about a day or so after being in quarantine one started pestering the other (nothing bad at all). Anyway I've noticed that the one doing the bullying is ever so slightly larger than the other one now. Now it's either grown a little bit (assuming it's changing to female) or it was bought that way and it was so suptle I just didn't catch the size difference until now lol. I'm rambling a little lol.
Anyway I guess my question is, how long could it take before this clownfish submits? If ever.

Can't say for sure...I've had some pair up immediately, & other times they'd just fight & wouldn't pair up at all. I'd have to separate & exchange one, then start all over. The key is watching for excessive aggression & if either one gets too beaten up w/ torn fins etc., separate them & see if LFS will exchange it. Good luck!

Yeah that's what I was afraid of. But like I said it's not at all excessive, and the bullying is completely one sided. So I'm hoping that will work out in my favor.

Will do. Like I said, the aggression is one sided and not THAT bad at all.
So now that the male is showing submissive behavior any idea how close I am to owning a pair?
 
That's something no one can tell...I've seen it happen immediately, other times not at all. Just be patient & enjoy the show...;)

Oh wow. Ok, I was under the impression that once the make was submitting it was a sure thing. I guess you're right time will tell and I'll sit back and enjoy until then
