Clownfish skinny

My clownfish is very skinny, you can see his skeleton or bones. He eats but keeps losing weight and breaths somewhat fast. He had ich several months ago which he overcame with cupramine treatment but now has this. Can it be worms? All water parameters are perfect, thx.

Internal worms make sense. Do you see white stringy poo coming out of him? You can confirm it's worms by doing a f/w bath. You should see them fall out and settle on the bottom. Maybe use a magnifying glass to be sure.

This is a good way to test for flukes and some other external parasites; but internal parasites falling out? Are you sure?

I've done it before. IME it's more often internal worms than internal parasites and those are usually bigger (and more visible). I usually have to use a magnifying glass to be sure. Or, if you have a buddy with a microscope and an unhealthy obsession of microbiology, suck some of the water off the bottom and take it to him. Usually can tell you roughly what you're dealing with.

Ok so how do I treat my clownfish that is very skinny and wasting away? He eats normal, am I treating for worms? help!

I'd try PraziPro; a common de-wormer. I use this on all my new fish in a QT. it will take care of most internal and external worms.
