Clownfish spawning video

sweet! my clowns spawned last friday. I keep checkin everynight for them to hatch. Its almost as bad as when I had my daughter! nervous much!

The fry are now at Day 29 and some are starting on their 3rd stripe. All are doing very well and seem to be growing a little bigger each day. They are now eating the second stage of Otohime and an occasional treat of baby brine shrimp. When I add the bbs, they are gone in a matter of minutes. It's like a feeding frenzy in the tank.

I have since had two more hatches since this one and another clutch of eggs are on the tile now. I finally have a hand on producing enought rotifers and it definitely has made a difference in the survival rate.

Will keep you posted on more progress!

DAY 30 - Okay....here's a few pictures I took today. They just had a treat of bbs and their little bellies are stuffed! Some have developed their 3rd stripe. Everyone is doing great!

Update: Here are some pictures of these fry on Day 48. They are eating anything I give them, but primarily they are getting Otohime daily. No losses.

Since this hatch, my pair have spawned every 10-11 days and each hatch is better and better. I estimate that I now have about 350 fry spaced 10-11 days apart. In addition, I just had another hatch on Monday night and there have been zero losses! It's been a learning experience along the way, and as someone else said in their post, I think I finally figured it out!

My pair spawned again last night and the eggs look very healthy. Should be another really good hatch!

Here are a few pictures of the hatch (from this video) at Day 48 and a pic of my temporary setup. I'm setting up a new growout system to make room for all the new additions.

That's spawning? What do they do with the eggs then? How do u get them to lay on that white table and was the dad eating them? wooow

The eggs from this last spawn hatched last night. Got a 100% hatch and no fatalities. I estimate there's 175 to 200 fry from this batch. My last hatch 11 days ago was similar and I've only lost 3 fry from that batch. They're going through meta right now and are on bbs. Looking good!!!

Just an update that everything is going great! There have been zero losses with all the hatches after day 5 and the last few hatches have been extremely successful in numbers. I'm having to plan for expansion into my garage with the addition of tanks every 10 days.

I start my fry in a 5 gallon tank. I only fill it with maybe 3 gallons of water at first. That way they don't have too much area to cover in order to catch rotifers.
