Are you sure that's not A. omanensis or a hybrid?
Members of the clarkii complex can have many different characteristics. I have a small clarkii with a forked tail. I'll try to find pic's. I got if from the LFS. It was in a tank with a bunch of its siblings. It was the only one with a tail like that.

It looks better in your tank than it did on the DD.

I think the DD, breeder, supplier, or somebody along the way misidentified these fish.
