i have 2 false perc. clowns, tank raised in my 12g AP. one of them is now half swimming/floating around the tank, i am pretty sure that he is going to die. i have do idea why. all the water prams are in check, the other clown seems fine, a cleaner shrimp, tailspot blenny, hermits, snails, xania, mushrooms, all look normal. why would just one die. i can not see anything wrong with him, he is a little pail, but other than that, no sores, fungas, wounds or any kind, just dieing. i have had them for about 2 weeks now. any ideas, Please help!!!

did you get it from a lfs or like a petco...

i got them from BioReef, it is a local place in Jacksonville, FL

Sorry to hear. what size did you buy them at? Was it eating well for the first couple of weeks? How did you put them in the tank?

they were about 1-1.5 inches long, there are all eating fine, and i floated them for about 15min, then added about a 1/4 cup of tank water inthe the bag about 5 times. then released them both into the tank. thanks

It will most likely die. You could try to qt it but if you don't know what's wrong with it, it's tough to treat. They might be able to help you in the fish disease and treatment forum. Sometimes they really pack fish in for transport. Especially fish like clowns. They can be stressed so much from the journey that they won't make it. I would always ask the employee how long the fish has been there. Ones that have already adjusted well in the store might have a better shot of making the last step of their journey.
