Clowns hosting something else???

I have been told clowns will host in some other soft corals than an anemone. What do you guys recommend?

This will be in a 28 gal JBJ cube. I prefer not to put in an anemone.

Besides Shifty's mine have been in trumpets, goniporas, and even zoas. Problem is they can damage some. My large leather was about 16 inches accross when the clowns went into it. It was about 5 inches when I renoved it, but there were about 50 leathers from what fell off.

My female tries to sleep in my zoas all the time. Ignores my BTA but that may be because it is still fairly small compared to the clowns.

My clowns are boring. :D One day I hope....

I think clowns will "host" just about anything, just gotta get lucky. (or unlucky, depending on how the coral itself responds)

To misquote somebody else, I am not believing in clowns. Annoying fish. Mine don't host in my rose-tipped anemone, but they do steal food from it when they can. They host in some SPS (sorry I don't know the species) and like somebody else said, they seem to like power heads.

My newest clown liked his breeder box for a while after he escaped from it, so I removed the box, and then he took to the heater for a night... Tonight he's sleeping on our Turbo Snail... It's cute but slightly annoying.

Mine was hosting the heater for 6 months and now the carpet is hosting them. The funny is when they choose power heads, heaters , corners as host they will not be aggressive....but when anemones are hosting them they are becoming very aggressive. Why is that?
