Clowns ignoring anemone

I have two percula clown fish that were purchased together from the same tank at the LFS.

I also have a lg. 7" sebae anemone that they just ignore.

Is there a way to get the clowns to enjoy the anemone?

They were the first two fish in my tank and are very dominant over everything else I have. Maybe if I put a fish in there that is a little more intimidating to the clowns.....will that help?

I have two percs that I have had with a gtba for 2 years now and they still wont host?? They prefer my Candy canes or zoas?? They are having an identity crisis I guess.

Use a turkey baster and live brine and feed the anemone. The clowns learn quickly to follow the turkey baster. Eventually just a little bit of brine on the anemone and they will be in there snacking. (Hopefully). Do not put a more intimidating fish in there. Fish tanks are suppose to be peaceful and relaxing.

I suggest live brine but not because there is any nutrition in them but most fish can't resist live food. You can just use their favorite food if not live brine.

ok......thanks for the help....i wont get another aggressive fish to try and scare them in there then....lol

also, i hear i should get rid of it since i want to do a reef tank....people on here say the anem might start floating around stinging my corals

Once the anemone is well established it probably won't move again. As long as the conditions don't change in the aquarium, that is. They won't detach and start "floating around" unless something major happens. Most of us keep coral in our anemone tanks.

I cheated them by giving food to the anemone, they come grab the food, and stay. However, I come to cross another problem. After that they never feed the anemone....
