Clowns Love Anemones to DEATH

My bonded Black O. clowns fell in love with the GBTA I got for them. Unfortunately, my tank was only two months old (I know, I know) and the anemone eventually didn't make it.

Now, with a year-old tank, I've purchased a new GBTA. During the very first night my clowns discovered it and have forced it into hiding in a crevice, upside down, under a rock. They are RELENTLESS in their love.

I don't have a QT and would love to hear of ideas on how to give my nem a chance to survive the intense honeymoon that the clowns are inflicting upon it.

Am I doomed, stupid, both? (Please be kind.)

Thanks!

Maybe put a big toadstool in there. There's really nothing you can do to guarantee they wil leave the bta alone.

I have a small bta that I got that was pretty bleached and only about 2"... My pair of maroons jumped in it and were very loving. The larger female especially was relentless and it started looking like the bta may not settle in and recover... However, I since acquired a second, and larger, bta and placed it nearby. The clowns took to it also and now they are spreading their love between the two. This has significantly lessened the stress on the original bta which has since started recovering its color and improving.

SoI would recommend seeing if you can get a second bta to help relieve the stress. Plus you get to buy another nen :)

Have you tried putting your net down in around the area the anemone is in, may scar them away, prop it close even, sometimes it only takes a day for the anemone to get attached
