clowns

why does it alway seem that my clowns find a way through the biocube overflows and onto the wet dry grate. This is the second onyx that has done this. I really just wanna give up with the baby onyx and say forget it and get a pair of regular percs and be done. But i love the onyx colors. i really dont know what to do anymore. i always lose the one with the best colors and markings. i had the one for like 5 months and bang this morning dead. wow i really just wanna sell everything and be done with it all together now.

I had a pair i kept in a 12g nano cube. They always slept on the top near the filter breach. From time to time one would get sucked over the breach and into the filter area, then I would have to get them out of there and back into the tank (just for them to do it again). Clowns are silly creatures, cover the area if you can because it is much harder to change there habits. Good luck.

A lot of people seem to have that problem. I believe they use grates to block them.

I also had a problem with clowns going "chamber diving" in my Biocube. Here's how I solved the problem. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a section of plastic gutter guard. Cut it to fit the width of the rear chambers and place it in there. No more clowns going over-board!
