Club frags

Well after pulling several hundreds of dollars worth of club frags from Sean's tank for a raffle that never happened, myself and a few others were given some frags to grow out for the club. I have a few racks of stuff in my tank so I figured I would log here what I was given and maybe give a progress report on them every month or two. I would assume for the first couple months they won't be fragable but you never know.

Blaze digi
1/2 the grape juice
Poletti yellow tip
Pc rainbow
Goldilocks
Sunset milli

They are in order on the first row of my frag rack. The bottom green piece is unknown and not a club piece.

Ssteve if you want to, email me photos and I can put them up on the club facebook page as well. Same goes for anyone else growing out club frags. That way we can have a centralized location and show growth.

If you want to save what I put up on here your welcome to it but I’ll just be posting here from time to time.

The problem with growing out frags to frag off of is they really don’t start taking off until they are fairly encrusted. That and acros light light and flow, both aren’t ideal on a frag rack.

What I’d like to do is either start a new tank eventually, or add a flat on my current system.

The other issue with acros and the club currently is that few people have tanks capable of sustaining acros so it’s kind of pointless for the club to put this stuff into raffles right now. Ultimately they really should have stayed in Sean’s tank and cooked since he undoubtably has the most dialed in system but at least now some of us get to enjoy some new stuff as it grows out.

In the end I think we all owe Sean(swk) a massive thank you as it’s due to his connection with Adam at Battlecorals that got us some absolutely stunning sps’s and then he additionally went well out of his way to receive them in, grow them out in his system and has fragged them multiple times with pretty much nothing in return. Sean’s a solid dude that is a substantial resource to this club, so thank you Sean. Missed you at the meeting today but glad you were able to be there for your family in time of need.

So the sunset milli got placed next to another frag and stung pretty good. For a few days it looked like it was a goner cause it was losing tissue but over the last few days it hasn't changed so hopefully it recovers. All other frags seem to be doing well but lightening up in color some.

Thanks for taking these on Steve. Sean has been a good incubator for the club and it has been much appreciated.
