Actually it can be done either way, Having the Saw just makes it nice and clean and you can make percision cuts where with Bone cutters or Razor Blades it may turn out other than you planned.

Good point Bill - and that is why I offered to drop the rock off yesterday so it could be fragged before the meeting. However, didn't realize you actually chopped the rock up! LOL I thought you scraped/cut the zoas off the rock with a scalpel (shows how little I know!). I''m kinda attached to the rock (its Carribean Live Rock from AC, encrusted with coraline and small porite colonies), and it is large (5 X 10 X 3 approx) and heavy (i think it weighed 8 pounds) and is the top rock for my reef.![]()
