I'm fairly new to the hobby and new to the site, but I can't wait for the swap! It's nice to see all these veterans' enthusiasm and to see a strong community available for us noobs.

I just got my custom self-inking rubber stamp ordered for delivery before the weekend. It'll sure be alot more fun hearing "Dave Frank, come pick up yet ANOTHER of your incredible winnings" instead of just another number
You are so very correct. Did you get yours free from Vistaprint like I did? I have been recommending everyone take advantage of their free offer.

The items available for the swap next weekend are just amazing to us. All of the vendors and LFS's have been very generous.
If you thought last March was great, you just wait till you see what we have in store next weekend.

I actually did not see a free one at vistaprint (and I looked!), but got my from www.discountrubberstamps.com. The self inking 3 line stamp with the upgrade to UPS ground shipping ran me about $13. Well worth it in my opinion. If I had ordered earlier, I could have had it for under $10.
If vistprint does not continue to offer the free one, in the future, we should put a group buy on stamps together. The 3 line, self-inking one is only $2.99, then if we just divide shipping between all the people it would should bring the "per person shipping cost" way down.

That's a good idea and having your name on the tickets makes the raffle move along faster.

I don't think you will need to camp out, although it would not be a bad idea to get there early to secure a good place in line. A our march swap the line got pretty long and went out into the middle of the parking lot.
We will have 2 separate lines this time. CMAS members will have an express line that will get you in quickly. No wait!!!

Remember: 3 bags will have the GOLDEN Ticket which is worth CASH to buy anything you want that day! Everyone who goes through the door, gets a goodie bag!! The goodie bags are loaded with Free stuff including, supplements, T-shirts, etc etc etc!
This is going to be a GREAT event! And a FREE BBQ! Why would you want to be anywhere else?

This may sound "corny" but as a suggestion, it would be nice to have sticky labels we can wear on our shirts that we can write our real name, and RC name underneath. Ive met a few people here, but always wonder who's who at the swap and would help out some newbies (me included). I know this might tie up the line to get in, maybe an area where the raffle tickets are being sold to do this. Dont flame me, just a suggestion,,,,,,,

Flame on!! Nah...that's actually a cool idea. This will be my first time meeting anyone, and that would definitely help. Majority of the people seem friendly, so I'm sure going up to random people and intro'ing yourself wouldn't be bad, but it's easier to equate "aussie chicago" to "Bob" (I'm giving you a hypothetical name, lol...) For the vets, they already know who's who to know, but for us noobs, its a new SW anonymous meeting
Thanks for the welcome! I hope to run into you too...but I don't know if I'm looking for a guy or girl. The name tag thing sounds better already!
