Your explanation and pic really helps. I did see the directional arrow, but I wasn't sure if it was the direction of airflow, or just for "design purposes".
I tried to blow into the check valve, and no air came out the other end, which led me again to think the arrow was for design purposes. Based on your explanation of needing to run a higher pressure, that explains why I couldn't blow any air through. i can easily blow air through those cheapy plastic valves.
Based on your experience, do you have a ballpark estimate as to where I should start my pressure at? Also, since I'll be running a higher pressure, does that mean I'll go through my CO2 quicker?
Edit: BTW, I can't figure out what that black plastic piece around the check valve is used for. Is it used to support the valve's weight?
