my new coco worm is out of its mind releasing in the neighborhood of 100 brown seedlike-looking pellets every day.....i just don't see how something can produce this much waste....especially a filter feeder......anyone have in depth knowledge of this?

Part of what you're seeing is "pseudofeces". The feather dusters don't eat everything they catch. All of the particles are moved down the radioles (= feathers) to the mouth region. Tasty bits in the right size range are eaten. The rest are bound up with mucus into pellets & discarded.
