COMAS POTM --- June 2007 - Submit Your Pics!

Hey folks, I am going to go ahead and crank things open for June POTM submissions. This time we are going to have an optional theme ingredient - Zoanthids.

          (because I miss my zoas)

As with last month, I'd love to have another 10-15 picture month. We have some talented photographers in the club. I'd like to see us push things up a notch this month. So ponder those zoanthids, take some pics, and send them over to me.... captbunzo@gmail.com

Pseudo-official deadline is Midnight (or so) June 20th. That's a Wednesday. And, just to mention, the theme IS optional. Let's have some MORE great pics!!!

I am also going to kick off a series of mini-articles regarding to simple things we can all do to improve our photography. Some of them may be reef related. Others will simply be general photography tips. Most of it will be highly plagiarized (with references, of course). So stay tuned to this thread here for the first in that series, coming soon.

Goodness, their presentation is going to make my mini-articles look very amateur.... Oh well!

Btw, can someone try to get a video of that presentation. I'd be very interested in something like that, plus any powerpoint files or anything related. I really hate to miss that one....

Ok, fine, I'll post them tomorrow...... I have just been super swamped recently finding a house and car for the wife and kids, applying for Visas........... And of course my job is really starting to pickup so that keeps me busy as well.

On the bright side, everyone, it appears that the wifey and kiddos will be flying over approximately August 8th or so.

Sorry for my flakiness as of the moment - just got a dozen things going on at once over here as the time has arrived (almost) for the family to arrive. Moving into our permanent housing this Saturday and currently temporarily without access to the internet at home....

Sorry for the horrifying delays folks, but this past month has been brutal. For most of that time I have been without proper internet where I have been staying. But as I am now in my permanent place to stay, I am happy to say that I will be getting internet setup tomorrow.

That will allow me to FINALLY get the pics downloaded from my email account, resized for the website, and posted up. Maybe as apology for being such a slacker, I'll make that the first thing I do after the cableman leaves...

Anyhow, apologies again. Thanks for your patience.....

And if you haven't (or if you have, who cares) sent a pic in and want to do so, I guess this is your FINAL warning.

Er, make that Friday on internet. My week is a bit flip-sided and it is messing with my mind. And my cableman appt is Friday from noon - 6:00 PM (GMT). Let's all pray to the gods of cablemen that he shows up at 12:15 and not 6:15.......
