Combination of clowns and another fish in QT

Have my set up ready for QT using TTM formulin and prazipro.

I will be using two 10 gal tanks. I would like to do this with 2 bicunctus or spotcinctus and an aptasia eating filefish. All ORA from LA.

Is this reasonable or am I pushing my luck with these three fish together?

I will use Prime every second day and a seeded sponge filter once TTM is over during month observation.

More room less aggression. Makes sense.

I understand importance of formulin dip for clowns.

Do y'll think its necessary to use formulin on the filefish?

I don't treat my fish unless I know for sure what I am treating. I don't treat Ich. I think many people take QT and treating fish to the extreme and a lot of fishes died because of it. I don't QT a lot of my fish. Never have a tank wipe out because of it. I do have a few fish died but as a whole the great majority of my fish do just fine.

I would always recommend to quarantine (= isolate) new fish for some time, there are parasites you simply don't want to let into your tank.

I just would not administer any treatment beyond a formalin bath upon arrival. Often new fish need time to recover from the stress they went through and I feel they handle that better if they don't have to fight for a place in the hacking order at the same time, get man handled every other day or soaked in chemicals for weeks.

I try to keep my QTs as close to what the fish like as possible including live rock and algae or sand/gravel, based on the needs of the fish. Only my treatment tanks are naked with PVC fittings. Generally I only treat on an as needed basis.

Putting fish from sources like LFS or online stores straight into your tank can easily end in disaster. Had I done that with my ventralis, I would have had a tank wipeout for sure.

As for the OPs question:
10 gallon tanks should be fine for 3 fish if they are not too large.
