Come along, I'm starting a 24 gallon from scratch!

Landon, I am very impressed. I love how natural it looks. It isn't a wall build, it has like different angles and tone to it. And the coral placement is  Keep it up and post more pictures!

thanks Jordo!

i started a thread a little ways back. ive got quite a few pics posted and more to come :D http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=568794&perpage=&pagenumber=1

Landon, fantastic!!!!!! I love the colors!!!! You should get some nice prints and make a little coffee table book!!! And send me a copy :)

Jordo, I'm so sorry about the mantis, however, that would explain a lot of missing things!!!!! Just be careful gettin ghim out, and don't kill him, the LFS will probably give you credit!

I'm doing a water change today, I'll get some pics after I'm done.

Hope you all have a great day!

Amanda

 Amanda, thats funny thanks for the wonderful comment, but im no coffee table booker yet :D those pictures show my corals perfect but the overall shot, just isnt quite right. i have a nice blue tint to the tank that the white balance was taking out. Marc (melev) gave me some good tips a few nights ago and i think ive got it now. after the string of pics last night having almost perfect coloration im going to have to throw all of my other pitures out  i wont discard them just yet, but i am going to keep them seperated :D

i must say again that i owe a lot of my success and knowledge to you and Rj. if it wasnt for you guys i wouldnt realize the importance of commitment and attention to detail. i dont do as big of water changes as you, but i do 5 or 6 small ones a month too keep up with my bio-load, and so far so good.

heres a pic from last night using Marc's trick for white balance :D

tank looks really nice. Takes forever on dial up on this verizon air card. You think San Fran would have a decent market for broadband services. Nice color throughout the whole tank. I was curious though, I noticed RJ is now saying Moved On. Did he cancel membership or something? I know there was that whole controversary on his thread but I was curious.

Rj was banned.

 ive been waiting for these pics for quite some time now :D

are you for real?

Whoa whoa people. This thread is not who got banned. It is of Amanda's reef. If you want any info ( that I have very slim) PM me. Now, back to the orginal point....

WHERE ARE YOUR PICTURES AMANDA!?

That's absolutely correct, and the next mention of who has been banned, or speculation about why will be cause to lock this thread. There will not be another warning.

Edited so I don't upset anyone.

Anyway, show us some more pics. H20 that is a really nice tank. I'll toss some pictures of my 180 once I get more rock (TBS) in there.

I hope to do a seahorse one day but I just don't think I have that much time to do one and my 180 but maybe one day. You make it look easy Amanda.

I have a question. I am starting a new calcium supplement. I am starting off right now using Sechem Reef Advantage Calcium. It says if used as directed alkalinity will not be affected. Starting out i am using 5 grams per 46gallons 2xs a week. Do i need to use Reef Builder as well?

Hey again superswimmer!

The best answer I can think to give you would be to get a real good calcium and alkalinity test and just watch your levels. I could say yes or no to your question but every system works differently and some levels change differently than others. I would think you'd benefit from reef builder although B-ionic/C-balance would be far superior to this method and possibly even not much more expensive if any (if you use any of the other supplements that b-ionic covers).

I don't know if my alkalinity is affected by my own RO water or if it's being affected by the CA. but I do use a buffer. I use the Kent's Superbuffer DKH, it has worked perfectly for me.

My fish had babies again on Friday, my Green banded gobies, then proceeded to eat all the babies themselves. I was hoping to get at least one to survive, but they actually hunt them out and eat them, it's crazy!

My macro is starting to grow out of control, and it often detatches from where I have it and floats around the tank, very annoying! So I'm working on that issue, and I still haven't heard from Aqua C on the new nano skimmer, so I'm going to give them a call today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'll get some pics up as soon as I finish working on the tank with this macro.

I'd love to see some pics of tanks, it's been a while! Kayla, Josh, Lori, Landon, Jay, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
