ComEd Supply Advice

Yeah, take that with a grain a salt.....I'm normally higher then my nieghbors, but there is a statistic they dont put in there......size of your neighbors house. In my case, I'm one of the largest house on the block my at least 500-800 sq ft. No crap my AC usage will be more.

If your neighbors are a small rural subdivision and you own a multi-building farm property, of course you are going to be way higher.

Looks like I have to wait another 3 years before I get the Smart Meters. :(

Volcano~ It's got to be your Koi pond using all the electricity. ;)

Chris~ My wife was talking about that. We live around a lot of other small farms, but many of them have lights out by 8 and don't keep yard lights.

All in all I know my systems can be more energy efficient. I haven't decided whether the trade off for growth and color are worthwhile yet. 2 of the basement tanks will be guinea pigs. My displays upstairs will continue to be energy hogs.

ComEd told me that you can still be on the RRTP program even if you don't have a Smart Meter... I tried to sign up for the plan, but they told me I had to wait for the contract to expire for the supplier (First Energy Solutions) my city was using in conjunction with ComEd. I believe I'm eligible now, even though Smart Meters won't be available in Sycamore until 2018.
