I just purchased the comline 3110 and would like to drill the collection cup so I can add a drain line for the skimmate, I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to how I should go about doing this so i don't crack the cup? thanks!
I wouldn't do it. The cup volume is generally good enough and my experience with these drains is they clog and are problematic. If you still want to do it I would use a dremel. I would put the really strong double sided tape on a metal washer with a suitably sized hole for a jaco type fitting and tape the washer to the body as a template and then use a dremel rotary saw bit- I think a roto zip is a bit overboard. Of coarse cut the foam tape out of the hole with an xacto knife first but this should give you a guide and the high rotation speed is less likely to cause a crack than a drill.
