Comline 3130 or Universal 230/3?

I have a 220 gallon tank and I am looking to upgrade my skimmer. I know Tunze has a good reputation, and I am thinking about either their Comline 3130 or their Universal 230/3. Please let me know if you have either or both of these, and what your experience has been. I have not been able to find a review on this site.

Just to complicate things, I have no sump and my tank is partially under some ductwork. The tank is two feet wide, and all but the front five inches is under a duct, allowing only 10.5 inches of clearance for most of the tank. This is a PITA in alomost every sense (e.g., lighting and maintenance) but I am worried that my new skimmer, will not fit, i.e., will need more than 10 inches of clearance to sit there and allow me to lift out the cup.

The Comline skimmer will fit, My advice would be to get one of the new DOC Skimmers when they come out they are a more powerful Comline skimmer style. I would probably get the biggest one 9015.

Thanks. I will have to wait to see if my source here in Canada will be carrying the new ones, and when they will be arriving. Do you know yet how the new ones will be priced as compared to the two models I named?

And I am just trying to make sure I understand your email: Are you saying the Universal WON'T fit, or just that the Comline WILL fit?

They will be slightly cheaper. They both will fit but Comline is superior for in tank use, it installs easier and it makes a smaller shadow and the new ones are more powerful, the current 3130/2 will outperform a 230/3 slightly.
