Comline filter

Roger, I am thinking of getting a comline filter with a Turbelle electronic pump so that I can combine filtering and water movement with one pump for my 30 gal cube. I currently have a comline 3130/2 skimmer on the tank that I am very pleased with. I notice that the largest recommended pump is the 7200/2 for the comline filter. Could I use the 7300/2 with a single controller on the comline filter to stir up the water and filter it, replacing the current powerhead? Currently water movement is one 1200 maxijet, and is on the low range of ok. I have a couple of clowns in the tank that I think would like the quiet setting on the controller for night time.

7200/2 is really the limit, you could use the 7300/2 but turned down, 792 gph is too much for the one cartridge, it will take in air and make lots of bubbles. Even the 7200/2 can have this problem on occasion when things get dirty.

Thanks Roger, I will stick with the 7200/2 - it is still twice what the maxijet was! Does the comline filter come with the same mounting hardware as the 3130/2 comline skimmer or do I need to order that separately? The Catalog is a little vague on that point.

It includes the same hardware. You want filter 3166.
