complaints about jbj ato..

My JBJ ATO has been running non-stop for 6yrs, no problems. Ran it with aqua-lifter and maxi-jet....

The 99% of people who have no issues you will never hear from because people only post when there is a problem. This is the same with ANY aquarium product (or product in most all industries for that matter).

I've also had a JBJ for over 4 years. No problems here...

I know at least 3 people who have ran pumps dry or flooded their house because of a JBJ ATO.

If you have one and it works, fine, I am sure a lot of them work. Need an ATO? There are much better solutions then the JBJ.

Its not if its when with any electronic device. Keep that in mind.

Yeah I know only the bad things get posted most of the time on a product. No one usually says anything when something is working right. I just thought I would put my experience out there with a product. I have one of there heaters with the digital controller and I have no problems at all with it and hope it is like that for years.

Ive been thinking about it and I might give the new one they are sending me another chance and keep the autotopoff one on stand by if this happens again.

It has been weeks though since my first e-mail to JBJ and never got a response back about a replacement unit untill they sent me the tracking info for the item. By the time they sent the tracking info the item was already in my state. If I received a response after I faxed in the rma form I would not of gone out and bought one from autotopoff.

I do like the features the jbj has with the alarm and adjustable pump timer. I just dont like how they have it inside the unit. You have unscrew it to get to these features.
