Concerned about my goby

I have a white ray fin goby in my 24 nano who has been chilling in there for at least a year now. Lately he has been acting very odd and I'm not so sure what's going on. Normally he guards the opening to the cave that him and the pistol shrimp share only darting out for food and to try and scare me when I'm cleaning the glass.

He's been sitting out on the sand for the last few days now, right up at the front glass. He's still breathing and does respond a little bit when startled, but totally not acting normal at all. I can get my hand in the tank and touch him before he reacts sometimes. Periodically he will swim in a circle (imagine him chasing his tail) and then settle back down on the sand.

I hadn't done a water change in a while (shame on me, I know) but I have a green clown goby and a few sexy shrimp in the tank as well that are not showing any signs of response to the water quality. We did a water change on the tank last night when we got home from the swap and I'm going to keep an eye on him to see if he starts perking back up. He hasn't even really been eating when I feed which is what really concerns me. Normally he attacks the food like crazy, but since he's started acting weird, he might only eat a flake or two if it floats right against his face.

I doubt anyone really can help me on this one, but I figured I'd post just in case...

Sorry I can't help but my freind had a diamond goby I gave her like 2 years ago just up and stop eating and acting weird recently also. All the other fish are fine but he wasted away and died a few weeks ago. Its weird how fish can be healthy as a horse for a long time and then suddenly just die. Hope he perks back up for ya.

I had the same thing happen to me on my last two goby. Eats great and then quit eating period and both got wasted away..... I personally think it has to do with what they are not getting from our tanks. I think they all just starve to death...... That's why we just stick with our pod eating goby.....
