Condi's and Clown's

I introduced my first fish to the tank Friday, I got a yellow Tang and 3 baby Clown's. The Clowns were about a 1/2" long, when I got up Saturday morning 1 of the Clowns was gone. So I posted on the forum and went the route of checking everywhere for him. I suspected maybe the Anemone got him because I could see a orange tint in his belly. Today I get up and the rest are gone...... I really feel bad about this, I checked my post and everyone seem's to be hedging on the Anemone being the culprit, they are saying that Condi's are not hosting anemones and Clowns don't know that.

I post this here to see what you guy's think because most of you got Condi's with your package and at least maybe warn you if you did not know this.

I don't have Condis Seehag, but have read a lot about them (thinking of clowns hosting TBS) and found that to be true.
They are not clown safe & will eat them if possible.
I am very sorry to hear of your losses, I've been keeping up w/your TBS threads. Very sorry man...

Yep total bummer, on one hand I figured there would be death's but t get up and gone not a trace, well that was terrible. At least now I know what happened. Here's a picture before the end of them.....

This is a bad match up all the way around. If the clowns are small they become food. If the clown is large they can beat the Condi to death.

Its a 50/50 shot, either they will get along or they won't. My wife had 2 clowns succesfully hosting in hers.

I asked on another forum if the condi could be a host to an anemome and was told possibly only a maroon clown but chances were slim. The maroons are aggressive and get quite large.

Those of you that received condis with your rock shipment, how long have you been able to keep them? I've been reading a lot about how hard it is to keep anemones and was wondering if this also pertains to Atlantic condis too. I also received a flower anemone that is doing quite well. Anyone else have or had one? Any problems keeping it?

My condi has actually grown and is doing quite well. I feed him once a week a mix of silversides and brine shrimp. I did introduce my first new item to my tank last night. Some Pulsating Xenia. Small frag it seems to be doing good.

My wife traded hers in, just because the condi was over 12" across in a 40g, which is a large percent of the tank. She has a pair of normal ocellaris.

Condi's are probably the hardiest anemone, thus the easiest to keep.
