Confused on my false percula behavior

OK not sure if anyone here on RC can explain why my F.P. has been laying low "on the ground" sort to say. Not much movement from it but it is feeding, the other two seem to be active and feeding. Could this be a sign of it being pregnant or sickness? In the past week I have noticed strange behavior from two of them, almost seem like they were mating one would kinda shake like if he was going into convulsions while the other kinda just hung out by the other, but wasn't sure being that I don't have any saltwater porn. lol sorry I digress!

So if anyone has any insight I really would appreciate it!
i post a pic for reference.

Well this might be a case of 3 is a crowd..generally one tank will only house two mated clowns unless it is pretty large so my best guess is the other two will probably harass the third to death unless it is removed..hth

Ohiomom hit the nail in the head . It is probably getting harrassed or it could be brook "clownfish disease". Do you see any white slime on his skin coat, or rapid breathing?

Thanks for everyone who replied,

I originally had one, then I felt bad so picked up two more for it to have company,

"ohiomom" I would normally agree with you about three's a company, but in this case no fighting has taken place other than what seems to be a mating dance. all three sleep close to one another. So I'm going to have to rule out that they aren't getting along.

No signs of slime or white spots normal breathing and is feeding.

I'll continue to monitor this clown, I hope that she's just pregnant they haven't taken to any of the anemone that I place for them so its funny to see them brushing on my fuzzy grass mushroom as a host.

Till the next post peace.

just a couple of points..just because you don't see them fight doesn't mean they aren't and secondly, how long have you had them? Clowns take awhile to mature..hope you are right, but very unusual to have 3 mature clowns peacefully live together..

Good luck..

If one is convulsing that is a submissive behavior which tells me there is aggression. They can be stressed / scared even though there is not actual fighting. The convulsing is proof of that. Its the same as people. You can be scared of someone without them actually hurting you right? I wouldn't rule out they aren't getting along just yet.

Clowns that are holding eggs don't sit on the bottom. That's not the issue. Sitting on the bottom or hiding is typical of a scared clown. Its limiting its exposure.

3 is a crowd. Its likely going to get worse as they mature.
