Considering a bulb change?

I'am currently using a 250W 14K Double ended Phoenix bulb over my 20 gal SPS frag/Clam reef. The bulb is only 6 months old but I'am considering replacing it with a 10K AB bulb. I don't run actinics so what can I expect as far as overall tank appearance, coral color and growth rates? Some of the frags have grown at a descent rate but others like a darker blue/purple acro has not.

Should I switch or stay with the phoenix?

Any opinions at all comparing the 250W DE 10K AB bulb to the 14K Phoenix?

I think you would be happier sticking with something that is more blue. The AB is going to be more yellow/white to the naked eye. Your corals I'm sure would do really well underneath it, however aesthetically you probably wouldn't be that happy.

I personally would recommend sticking with the Phoenix for overall growth / coloration.
