Considering a Pagoda cup. Any ideas?

I have 6 T5's and my parameters are excellent . I do worry about my Singapore angel (nasty PITA). Other than the angel, what do you guys know of them. Its pretty cool. Shaped like a perfect bowl, 4", tan in color, and very healthy....plus it's like 40.

One of my favorite corals in the tank. I have one that is about halfway up in my tank in medium to high flow and the coral extends every day. I spot feed maybe once a week or so. I love that little coral.

with what? Do you have any fish that mess with him?

i really like mine as well. have it about half way up in the tank under 6 T5. none of my fish mess with it. my clown goby loves it. he goes in and out of it. pagoda doesn't seem to mind at all. i may spot feed mine every few months. other than that it just gets whats blown its way

just make sure that it is healthy with no brown jelly or dead areas. i bought a couple and learned the hard way. i had a hard to get blue velvet and it had a tiny dead spot. never recovered. ive had a couple that were 10"s and just awesome. t5s are more than good for them i always start low with them just like sps and slowly raise them. id keep in middle as most say.. but all in all a great coral

I have two tangs in my tank and a goby. Nothing bothers the pagoda. Been slowly growing for the past month or so since I got it. 2x250w metal halides, 2 T5 ATI purple plus bulbs and 48in. reefbrite blue LED

Just got one myself. Very happy. Beautiful shade of green. I'm going to feed him like no tomorrow to see how fast I can get him to grow. I suspect it's going to be slow! Very slow!

I have had mine for over 10 years. They are easy to keep and they are hard to kill. With the right lighting they will really get nice green color. Mine just had a baby a few months ago.

One of my early LPS, liked a lot of current. Even turbulence, polyps always out under those conditions..
At the time, I had a C. argi (Cherub angelfish) with it. Never touched it.

Took a picture of mine tonight. Was told it was a little more unique since it has blue in the middle instead of green..who knows.
LOVE this coral:

Nice coral, mine does well shaded away from 8bulb T5s. It's the teal green kind. I had in another tank that had 150MH and it wasn't happy. I feed once a week plus whatever it snags during daily feeds.

The only problems I have seen with them- sometimes when shipped or moved, its easy to abrade the edge of the disc and thus open them to bacterial infections. Thats mainly a shipping issue- so just be careful in transfer- bring a tupperware. As far as fish go- I have had a clown fish over love one before- but thats the only fish issue. They will do well in anything from regular output flo bulbs to halides- a great beginer coral.

I have had two for several years pretty hardy although lately they have been looking a little off . Trying to figure that one out still.
