Constipated Angel? BLOATED!

Can't post pictures atm as Comcast is a pain. Anyways, my male angel has been acting strange since early yesterday and I thought water was an issue. API test indicates a .25 ammonia before dosing 1-2mL prime yesterday. Didn't get a good look at him yesterday but saw him swimming a bit today and his stomache is huge! Like pregnant huge! The female flameback angel is fine but her partner seems pregnant. Constipation? I feed spirulina brine, Rods original, new Life Spectrum pellets and flakes, vitachem, selcon, & mega marine algae. Majority of the rock are in the fuge with only one big piece in the display tank for them to graze on (reasoning is because I'm waiting to get dry rock to use as a display rock while leaving LR in the fuge -not good looking). Again, female is doing fine but he's really bloated-a weeks worth of food in his tummy, over exaggerated of course. Tips?

I have read many times trying boiled peas with the skin off, then cut into small enough pieces the fish can eat. I tried it for a wrasse that had swim blatter disease but could not save him. Good luck.

Swim blather disease? Is this what my male dwarf angel have? If so, feeding peas for the fiber?

That's another topic and another thread that has already been discussed, somewhat. Tips on its big stomache?

how do you know its not related ?

ammonia poisoning ? or all other sorts of Issues that can heppen in a un-cycled tank ?

its not unrelated. not sure why you would think its constipated.

constipated fish will just pass it ...

I'm not saying it is not related. The ammonia rise may have caused it but this post is not to find out why I have ammonia. I have a good idea what went wrong to cause the ammonia spike and a separate thread has already been started to handle the ammonia issue. This post is to figure what it is and to cure, if possible. Actions has already been taken to take care of the ammonia issue. Dropsy, however, is what I read that this fish may have. Now, can miracles happen?

so what caused the ammonia spike ?

was the tank cycled ?
how long have you had this fish ? how does it eat ? and what does it eat ?

in order to diagnose something, we need to be given info, and from the info given, ammonia is the culprit. if not, we would just be trowing guesses out there ... :)

have a good weekend and hope the fish recovers well :)
