I'm trying to decide what i should go with and would like your input.

I have a 65 gallons SPS tank and i dose 2 part by hand. I also have another 20 gallons tank but it's not in the same room.

I want something to control my heater and some fans or maybe a chiller.
I would like to automate the dosing part in some way.

Would i be best to just get a Ranco dual stage controller and dosing pumps or should i pay a little bit more and get a controller like an Aquacontroller?

What would you do?

You can get drew's dosing pumps from www.bulkreefsupply.com and set them on timers to automatically dose instead of getting a controller. You might have to look for a couple timers that can do Day of the Week, and also turn on for a duration in seconds or minutes- maybe the digital ones from home depot for 20 bucks

If you're looking for a controller and want to control multiple tanks plus have a variety of options, I would go with the RKE-- youll still need the peristaltic pumps. I really can't say much about the neptune controllers since i know nothing about them, but im sure they could do what you want.

it's really up to what you can afford and what you want the controller to do

A GHL Dosing pump sound like it would suit your needs best!

You can either get the stand alone style unit:

Or you can get a Profilux Plus II and a dosing pump:

I am running a Profilux EX + dosing pumps and love it!

Oh Hey Chipie! I just realized who this was :)

The Profilux are not cheap I would agree but you get what you pay for. And IMO one of the best features of this system over other systems is that it is completely upgradable. Its a controller that will grow with you.

Unbreakable: Check with one of the RC sponsors for pricing in your area.

I'm sure the drews pumps from bulk reef supply would suit your needs fine... Much cheaper;)
