"Cool" clean up crew

I'm not sure if there is a difference in sizes between the different conchs but I will say that the shell is the obvious difference and unlike other snails they can't climb the glass or rocks at all they just hop around on the sand bed. Spider conchs have a really nice shaped shell, I had one in my 220 before the monster hermits decided they didn't like it. As far as I know conchs get huge (queen conchs I know get massive and are the shells that people listen to the sound of the ocean in) but grow very slowly. Most of the conchs I have seen at my lfs are between 1"-3"

My queen conch has only grown maybe an inch in length in a year, but they get wide quickly. Not including the spikes. So as saltychick said, she's prone to getting stuck from time to time. The fighting conchs have a smoother shell if I remember correctly.

I thought it was the opposite? I was under the impression that the queen conchs were the smooth shell ones and the fighting and spider conchs had spikes?

I had a serpant star and emerald crab for a while. They were both exciting to watch and productive. Unfortunately I lost both during a power outage.
