I recently got my flasher wrasse, and I am planning on getting a midas blenny from DD soon.

Nice. I bought a flasher wrasse too (diamond tail) from DD and strongly considered the Fijian Golden Blenny that was available for a couple of days. Wish they would put up a Tongan Golden Blenny for sale.

That Deep Water Candy Basslet is amazing... But not for $650

They are beautiful, but I agree with you, not worth the price in my book.
But $650 is actually about $249 less than they normally go for.

You can't appreciate a candy basslet (or understand the allure) until you've seen one under actinics with your own eyes

My LFS was getting those batfish in on a regular basis a few months ago. I did a double-take when I walked passed it. Looks like a cartoon, looked fake almost. A buddy bought one and it never ate. Heard they are tough to keep long term.

Always loved these:

A reefer in my town has one, very shy. He says it only comes out to eat...pity.
