Totally agree! It seems color pattern outweigh deformities. Not good!

The pair is gone. Somebody must have bought them regardless of the major defect.
I've come to accept slightly shorter dorsal and pelvic fins on CB Picasso clowns but pinched heads, big underbites and flared gills are major no-no.

Anybody have any experience with these McCullochi Dottybacks? Never seen one before. Very pretty....

I don't remember for sure, but I think I had one in the past - De Jong had them sometimes. They should be like most Pseudochromis (even though they are in a different genus). I would only keep them in pairs to keep them busy with each other. This species has a clear color dimorphism between male and female.

Not that I could tell. Here at the local stores you see them pretty much year round.

Fancy? More like its ugly cousin.

I believe they were originally thought to be a hybrid of goldflake and flagfin. But they got their own classification. But I may be wrong. I think Copps discussed this a while back
