Cool Fish on Diver's Den

LA is not the only supplier that advertises dark yellow as orange. My LFS called me one day and said we can get you an orange tail Emperor for $200. Of course I said go for it. It came in as a dark yellow not orange. I have seen orange tail emperors from redsea, xmas islands, and africa. But to me it has to have an orange tail to be advertised, not just where it was collected with a chance of getting an orange tail

Yea Michael comes up with some great fish sometimes like Purple tangs for $49

Not a which is better than question - by no means. But I wanted to ask what is the difference than say LA/DD? I typically do not order many fish online let alone local but is there anything different they do or is it just their supplier? My last order from LA was super and I do have a regal on my wish list...

Id consider BlueZoo, LA and NYAquatic to be broadly equivalent, with DD a step above for rarer fish. NYA is appealing to me because it is local.

DD is good because they one get better fish than LA, plus you get to see what the fish looks like. NY Aquatics many times on expensive fish will have pictures of the actual fish and will send you pictures if you ask. LA and DD have the best money back policy.

OK.

$600 for a Male flame? $180 for a Sunburst Anthias?

I feel like the buyers of some of these fish are those hobbiest that have never done a water change and have professional maintenance once a week.

Do yall think websites or even forum sellers, sometimes create artificial demand by posting things for sale (that never exist) then closing them as sold immeidately?

Seems sinister. But my mind can't help it.

A colin's bonded pair was on today's sneak peek. I was curious to see if it was going to go for $80 or $800, but it didn't make today's update.

Yep, the colin's pair is on DD again today. $799.99.

Wonder if it is the same pair as before or if they actually sold the previous pair to someone for $79.99.
