Cool frag plug. Anyone interested? Also found a really cool glue.

I accidently broke a pretty big piece of my SPS earlier (which gave me a reason to use these sample plugs).

Went to Walgreens and bought 4 different super glue since my luck with super glue was quite slim since I ran out of IC Gel.

First bottle I tried was "Liquid Nail Perfect Glue 2" was a nice large bottle, perfect tips. Just a small drop goes a long way. I didn't even have to open the other 3.


It's basically .4" dia. I didn't measure the eggcrate but I'm guessing around .50" dia so it should fit nicely in.

But this combination glue and plug bonds like it was made for each other. Bonds in just a few second and straight into the water.

If pond liners are not reef safe then these won't be.

They're basically the same materials as pond liners.

They're also the same material some vibrators are made of. :lol:

EPDM is safe. That stuff is really durable and it should last a while in the tank.

You should definitely trust the words of someone with the nick Chem-E. He should know his chem better than me.

I must say that Boston Aqua Farms glue (got a sample from Gresham at the swap) works extremely well. Seems to adhere much better the IC gel (which was my previous favorite mounting glue) with less needed and is much more solid even with the dab and dunk method.
