I am a huge fan of carpet anemones so when I saw this I got all excited and decided I had to share with others. This is the coolest red carpet I have ever seen.

I think we met at the frag swap. Are you serious. You bought it? Too bad carpets don't split like bubble tips.

ps - I see you have a DAS EX1. The MARS skimmer design was based on a DAS BX3 a former member had. Nice skimmer!

The tangential injection allowed us to get creative with the pump placement. Our pump sits up high on the skimmer but the injection nozzle points down slightly to fill the chamber with foam, talk about hang time on the bubbles.

Also, mounting the pumps up higher allows us to use smaller pumps on our taller models.

Brian no way did i buy that carpet. I was just playing. Yes I love MY DAS skimmer. I have owned a ER RS line a Recirc octo and i by far like this DAS!

Yours was based on the EX3 or BX3?

My fathe rin law has the EX3 on his 210. Skimmer is awesome and for the price very tough to beat

Ours was based on the in-sump, not hang-on model. The B series. We did modify our design to be hang-on also.

Exotic used to have a gigantic red carpet too. They said it invariably ended up eating most of the fish they ever put in the same tank with it.
