Copepods/Anthropods???

So I saw these things for sale at reef central and realized that I had no idea what the heck they were. Anyone know what these are? Would they be beneficial to my reef tank??? thanks

They are beneficial they're little scavengers in live rock and it can be food for dragonets

Most fish will eat them. They're free treats for the fish. Wrasses especially

Fascinating!!! So they are like an extra food that doesnt bump up nitrites? Would it help my filefish, too?

you could set up a small refugium with some macroalgae like chaeto.

you are welcome. i have dedicated a chamber in the back of my tank (i have an all-in-one) to a refugium. i just have some rock and chaeto in there running off an old LED fixture from a previous tank. i have a healthy population of live mysid shrimp living back there that i occasionally see in my tank

I would buy from algaebarn.com. No fish in the system they culture them in so no need to worry about disease on them. Don't want a $15 bag of pods turning into a $1000 lesson.:headwally:
