My 3 day old copper band wont eat frozen food, but he is picking at my aptisia will that be enough food for him to survive??? Also i got a mandrian and saw him also peck at the myisis... I have been watching him close and when i feed hes not eating.. One of the reason i bought him was because i have a ton of pods .. Last night i put him in a QT by himself and feed him nutramar ova prawn roe..it looks like he didnt even touch it ..should i remove the old eggs or just leave them there...????? any info would help..thanks.

I just posted about this in another thread. Try using frozen bloodworms to get him started to eat. Then in a few days mix in the mysis. I'd he does not start eating the bloodworms try getting live black worms. Clams on the half shell work too I have heard.

when i got my copperband about 8 months ago i fed clam on the half shell every day so he was eating and than i put mysis on the shell with the clam then he starting eating the mysis and has been eating frozen ever since takes time but worked for me ..

thanks for the replys will try the clam trick.....what about my mandiran should i leave the eggs in there or take them out..???

I would take most of the eggs out.

Regarding your CBB, live blackworms and fresh clam are the two best foods for getting one to eat. Introduce mysis as well, but you may need to try both PE and Hikari as some fish seem to like one and some seem to like the other.

thanks for the reply...my mandiran ist eating i dont think hes going to make it ...im wondering if i should put him in the display tank and see if he will chase pods????
