Copper band in a mixed reef tank

Hello,

I'm looking for advice because I have a large problem with these pest tube snails that have these mucus lines that bug my corals and I need some critter to help me fight the battle, my tank is a 50G tank and I have a chromis, yellow tang, domino damsel, and another damsel. I also have a large brittle star, 2 peppermint shrimps and a full blown CUC. The tank has a lot of sps, lps, a couple leathers and a few zoas/pallys. I thought a copper band would be a good addition but I feed my tank only seaweed the tank was established with live rock and there is a few sightings of small critters.

Any advice on copper bands or other critters would be appreciated

To elaborate, I'm pretty sure your current fish would put the smack down on a CBB, especially in that size tank. Also, I'm, not sure how effective CBB are on removing vermetid snails

You're lucky if copper bands will even eat mysis or aptasia. They are not herbivores. Most will reliably eat live blackworms.

This is a horrible idea for your stocking, size, and experience. The only possible predator for vermatids is bumblebee snails and it's not really been confirmed.

Copperbands will not eat those and they will laugh at seaweed. It is hard to tell they are laughing because of their tiny mouth :smokin:

And I am very sure. The yellow tang, specifically will bully any similar sized fish immediately. CBB need peaceful tank mates and the OP does not have that situation.

There are various wrasse that will decimate the vermetid snails but they are not shrimp safe.
