well i got my copperband to eat frozen mysis, brine, sum angel/butterfly frozen cube mix and blood worms..well i like to give my fish a diet as close as possible to the wild..my lfs doesnt have a constant supply of blackworms do u think those other foods w/ suppliment for them?

Black worms are a fresh water creature so they're not really natural food for the CBB... With that said it is a very good thing to use to get finicky eaters to eat. My Burgess Butterfly LOVES black worms! As long as you have your CBB eating anything (as long as it's not JUST brine shrimp) vigorously I'd say you're on the right track. If you can, tru to get it on some flake or even some pellet. I had a CBB that would eat anything I put in the tank food wise, even Formuls One Flake and NLS Pellets. Unfortunately I lost it due to the temp in my house getting up to 108 degrees while I was on vacation... -Steve

my CBB has been going for nearly 4 years on mysis shrimp and aiptasia. i have tried and tried to get him on pellets or flakes with no luck. but the mysis seems to do the trick just fine. i use hikari, and PE.

I've had my CBB for a little over 6 months and he eats great, but no flakes or pellets. He eats frozen mysis and live blackworms. I hand feed him the blackworms, to make sure he gets enough to eat. The mysis, he must compete against the other fish for. I believe what you're feeding him is fine as long as he eats enough. I check mine daily to be sure he's not getting skinny.

I had one years ago that I believe slowly starved after 6 months. He would just compete with the other fish for the food. This was before I had much experience.
